Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Varanasi has officially released the admit cards for the School Entrance Test (SET) 2026. This entrance process is conducted for admission into the prestigious Central Hindu Boys' School and Central Hindu Girls' School. While admissions for LKG, Nursery, Class 1, and Class 6 are processed through an E-Lottery system, admissions for Class 9 and Class 11 (Maths, Biology, Arts, and Commerce streams) are based on a competitive written entrance examination.

BHU CHS SET 2026 Overview

Candidates who applied between February 20 and March 20, 2026, can now download their hall tickets. The entrance exams are scheduled to take place from April 22 to April 26, 2026. For those in the E-Lottery category, the main and waiting lists were displayed on April 12, 2026. It is mandatory for students appearing for the SET to carry a printed copy of the admit card along with a valid ID proof to the examination center.

Eligibility and Selection

Selection for higher classes is strictly merit-based through the entrance test, whereas primary classes follow the university's lottery guidelines. Ensure all details on the admit card, such as the candidate's name, roll number, and exam center address, are correct before heading to the exam.
