The Indian Navy has officially released the notification for the Short Service Commission (SSC) Executive (Information Technology) Branch for the January 2027 course. This recruitment drive aims to fill 15 vacancies at the Indian Naval Academy (INA), Ezhimala, Kerala. Both unmarried men and women are eligible to apply for these prestigious officer-level positions. The induction will be at the rank of Sub Lieutenant, offering a dynamic career path in the defense sector.

Eligibility and Qualifications

Candidates must possess an MSc, BE, B.Tech, or M.Tech degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Systems, or related fields with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks. MCA graduates with a BCA/BSc background are also eligible. Additionally, a minimum of 60% marks in English in either Class 10 or Class 12 is mandatory. Applicants must have been born between 01 January 2002 and 01 July 2007.

Selection Process

There is no written examination for this entry. Candidates will be shortlisted based on their normalized marks in their qualifying degree. Shortlisted individuals will then be invited for the SSB Interview, which consists of Stage I (Intelligence test, Picture Perception, and Discussion) and Stage II (Psychological testing, Group Tasks, and Personal Interview). Final selection is subject to a medical fitness examination and merit list standing.
