MPESB Van Rakshak & Jail Prahari Recruitment 2026 Notification

The Madhya Pradesh Employee Selection Board (MPESB) has officially announced the updated examination schedule for the combined recruitment of Van Rakshak (Forest Guard), Kshetra Rakshak, Jail Prahari, and Jail Superintendent for the year 2026. This recruitment drive aims to fill a total of 1679 vacancies within the Van Vibhag and Jail Vibhag of the Madhya Pradesh Government. Candidates who successfully completed their application process between February and April 2026 are now advised to prepare for the written examination starting from June 4, 2026.

Eligibility and Selection Process

The recruitment offers various roles with distinct eligibility criteria. Most positions, including Van Rakshak and Jail Prahari, require a Class 10th (High School) pass certificate from a recognized board. However, the Jail Superintendent post requires a Bachelor's Degree in any stream. Physical standards are crucial for these roles, involving specific height requirements and physical endurance tests like the 800-meter race and shot put (Gola Fek). The selection process primarily involves a written competitive exam followed by Physical Efficiency Tests (PET) and Physical Standard Tests (PST).

Applicants must regularly check the official MPESB portal for the release of admit cards, which are typically available 7-10 days before the exam commencement. It is mandatory to carry a valid ID proof and the printed hall ticket to the exam center. Ensure all details on the admit card match your application form to avoid any last-minute discrepancies.
