The South East Central Railway (SECR), Raipur Division, has officially released the recruitment notification for the engagement of Trade Apprentices for the year 2026-27. This recruitment drive aims to fill a total of 1644 vacancies across various designated trades in the DRM Office, Raipur Division, and the Wagon Repair Shop, Raipur. The recruitment is being conducted under the Apprentices Act-1961. Out of the total 1644 posts, 1363 vacancies are allotted to the Raipur Division and 281 to the Wagon Repair Shop. Eligibility & Selection

To be eligible, candidates must be between 15 and 24 years of age, with age relaxations applicable for reserved categories. Educationally, a minimum of 50% marks in the 10th standard is mandatory alongside a valid NCVT/SCVT ITI certificate. The selection process is unique as it involves no written examination; instead, a merit list is prepared based on the average percentage of marks obtained in both 10th and ITI exams. Selected candidates will undergo a 1-year training period with a monthly stipend as per government norms.
