The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially announced the UGC NET June 2025 Result on 21st July 2025. Candidates who participated in the University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test for Assistant Professor and Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) can now access their scorecards. The examination was conducted in a Computer Based Test (CBT) mode between 25th June and 29th June 2025 across various centers in India.

UGC NET 2025 Result Overview

The UGC NET June session 2025 cycle saw thousands of aspirants competing for eligibility in 83 different subjects. The application process commenced on 16th April 2025 and concluded on 12th May 2025. Following the examination, the NTA released the provisional answer keys and invited challenges before finalizing the results. Candidates can download their marksheet by entering their Roll Number/Application Number and Date of Birth on the official portal.

Eligibility and Qualifying Criteria

To qualify for the UGC NET, candidates must have secured at least 55% marks (without rounding off) in their Master’s Degree or equivalent examination from universities/institutions recognized by UGC. For candidates belonging to OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), SC, ST, and PwD categories, a relaxation of 5% is provided, requiring only 50% marks. The selection is based on the aggregate performance in Paper I and Paper II. Successful candidates for JRF are also eligible for the Assistant Professor post, while those qualifying only for Assistant Professorship cannot be considered for the JRF award.
