RRB Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) CEN 01/2026 Recruitment Notification

The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has released the notification for the recruitment of Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) under the advertisement number CEN 01/2026. This recruitment drive aims to fill a total of 11,127 vacancies across various railway zones in India. Aspiring candidates who have completed their Matriculation along with ITI in relevant trades, or hold a Diploma/Degree in Engineering, are invited to apply for these prestigious technical positions within the Indian Railways.

The online application process is scheduled to commence on May 15, 2026, and will remain open until June 14, 2026. Candidates must ensure they meet the eligibility criteria, including the age limit of 18 to 30 years as of July 1, 2026. The selection procedure will involve a multi-stage process, including Computer Based Tests (CBT-1 & CBT-2), followed by a Computer-Based Aptitude Test (CBAT), Document Verification, and Medical Examination.

Applicants are required to pay an examination fee of ₹500 for General/OBC/EWS and ₹250 for SC/ST/PH/Female candidates. Notably, a partial refund of the fee (₹400 and ₹250 respectively) will be initiated after the candidate appears for the Stage I exam. It is highly recommended that candidates prepare their digital documents, including a clear photograph and signature, according to the specified dimensions before starting the application process.
