RRB Technician CEN 02/2026 Notification Overview

The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has announced a significant recruitment drive for the year 2026 under the advertisement number CEN 02/2026. This recruitment aims to fill 6565 vacancies for the posts of Technician Grade I Signal and Technician Grade III across various railway zones in India. Key Eligibility and Vacancy Details

The vacancies are divided into two primary categories. The Technician Grade I Signal (323 posts) requires a Bachelor of Science in Physics, Electronics, Computer Science, IT, or Instrumentation, or an Engineering degree/diploma in relevant streams. The Technician Grade III (6242 posts) requires a Class 10th (Matriculation) qualification along with an ITI certificate from NCVT/SCVT in the respective trade. Application Process and Important Dates

The online application window opens on June 30, 2026, and will remain active until July 29, 2026. Applicants must pay an application fee of ₹500 for General/OBC/EWS and ₹250 for reserved categories. Notably, a partial refund is provided to candidates who appear for the Stage I Computer Based Test (CBT). It is mandatory for candidates to upload scanned copies of their photograph, signature, and relevant documents according to the specified dimensions and file sizes to avoid rejection.
