UP Anganwadi Worker Recruitment 2026: Official Notification

The Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS), Uttar Pradesh, has announced a significant recruitment drive for the post of Anganwadi Worker (AWW) for the year 2026. This recruitment is being conducted on a district-wise basis to fill thousands of vacancies across the state. Female candidates who are permanent residents of the respective rural or urban areas where the vacancy exists are eligible to apply. The primary objective of this recruitment is to strengthen the grass-roots health and educational support system for children and mothers in Uttar Pradesh.

Eligibility and Selection: Candidates must have completed their 12th (Intermediate) examination from a recognized board. Unlike many other government jobs, the selection for UP Anganwadi Bharti is primarily based on a Merit List prepared by calculating marks obtained in High School, Intermediate, and Graduation. There is no written examination for these posts, making it a direct entry opportunity for qualified local women. Applicants must be between 18 to 35 years of age.

Application Process: The application process is entirely online. Interested candidates should visit the official portal and select their district and block to see available vacancies. There is no application fee for any category (General, OBC, EWS, SC, or ST). Ensure all documents, including educational certificates, residence certificates, and caste certificates, are ready before applying. Key districts with large vacancies include Agra, Bulandshahr, Etah, and Gautam Buddh Nagar.
