The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment & Promotion Board (UPPRPB) has officially announced the exam schedule for the recruitment of 41,424 Home Guards. Candidates who applied between November and December 2025 can now prepare for the written examination scheduled to take place on April 25, 26, and 27, 2026. This recruitment drive is one of the largest in the state, aimed at strengthening the Home Guard department across various districts of Uttar Pradesh.

Exam Overview and Hall Ticket Information

The UP Police Home Guard Admit Card 2026 is expected to be released in the first or second week of April 2026. Aspirants must log in to the official portal at uppbpb.gov.in using their application number and date of birth to download the hall ticket. It is mandatory to carry a printed copy of the admit card along with a valid photo identity proof to the examination center. The selection process will strictly follow a multi-stage approach including a written test, physical endurance test (PET), document verification, and medical examination.

Eligibility and Selection Criteria

To qualify for these posts, candidates must have completed their 10th (High School) examination. The written exam will be an OMR-based offline test consisting of 100 objective-type questions focused on General Knowledge. Successful candidates will move to the Physical Standards Test (PST) where height and chest measurements (for males) or weight (for females) will be verified. Following this, a 4.8 km run for males and a 2.4 km run for females must be completed within the stipulated time to enter the final merit list.
